I LAND GREEN- GREEN FESTIVAL

Since the first year of the I Land Sound festival (2017), we have tried to organize our event in an environmentally friendly way, which is why we have adopted the so-called development of the green festival. At the beginning of the third year, we gathered all the green activities under a common denominator and the festival's environmental project I Land Green was born. As part of this, we figure out new activities for every year, how to leave a smaller and smaller footprint of our festival.

We produce more than we can consume and take more than we give back. We face large-scale waste pollution, land degradation from intensive agriculture, overproduction, deforestation, food waste, biodiversity loss and climate change from greenhouse gases. Every field must contribute to move towards a cleaner living environment, including public events, especially since they have even been named environmental disasters. And because of that environmentally friendly event management gets even more attention.

I Land Green is a helpful guide in this challenge. We will make an overview of all the different areas of an environmentally friendly event, which should be taken into account when organizing it. We give tips on how you can help as a guest of the festival. We will also present what we, as the I Land Sound festival team, have done in various areas and plan to do, as we believe that sharing good practices and learning from each other is necessary.
